Robert Berman is a Principal of Upper Hudson Holdings and serves as Chairman of the Board and President of Upper Hudson National Insurance Company. Mr. Berman has been a private investor and business executive for over 30 years. Currently he oversees a portfolio of investments including real estate development, construction, media and insurance services.
From 2002 to 2005, Mr. Berman served as the Chief Executive Officer and Chairman of the Board of Directors of Empire Resorts, Inc., a publicly-traded gaming company. Under his leadership, the company graduated onto the NASDAQ global market, was brought into Sarbanes-Oxley compliance, and grew to a market capitalization of over $300 million.
From 1995 to 1999, Mr. Berman served as Chairman of the Board and CEO of Hospitality Worldwide Services, Inc., a publicly-traded hospitality services company that he co-founded. He built HWS into a one-stop, global hospitality company offering construction, development, logistical and purchasing services. During Mr. Berman’s tenure, HWS grew its revenues from less than $10 million to over $200 million annually, employing several thousand people, in offices including Singapore, London, South Africa, Dubai, New York, Los Angeles, and Miami.
From 1998 to 1999, Mr. Berman served as Vice Chairman and a Director of Executone Information Systems, a publicly-traded company in the telecommunications sector. He served as chairman of a special committee that led to the strategic shift in and migration of the core business of the company to the technology sector, which moved the company’s market capitalization from $150 million to over $1 billion.
Mr. Berman founded and serves as the Chairman of the Board of Trustees of the Project Dream Foundation, which is a charitable organization that is geared towards assisting individuals overcoming adversity as well as at-risk youth.

Jeff Camp is a Principal of Upper Hudson Holdings and serves as a Director of the Board of Upper Hudson National Insurance Company. He is the Founder and Portfolio Manager of Jodocus Capital LLC, a privately held investment management and advisory firm specializing in helping small and mid-sized insurance companies meet their investment objectives. Jodocus Capital has experience in advising firms on asset allocation, regulatory requirements and investment management across a broad array of asset classes. The firm uses best in class infrastructure and trading platforms to ensure its clients achieve the best risk-adjust returns at the lowest costs.
Mr. Camp previously was Co-founder of Partner Fund Management (2004-2007) – a $2.3bn investment fund which was a spin out of Andor Capital Management. He served as CEO of Partner Fund Management UK and was responsible for investments in Europe across all sectors but with a particular focus on financials, airlines, construction, building materials, telecommunications and technology. Prior to that, Mr. Camp was a Principal at Andor Capital Management (2002-2004) – a $9.0bn investment fund. He served as CEO of Andor Capital Management UK and was responsible for investments across all sectors.
He served as Managing Director, Equity Research of Morgan Stanley (1994-2002). From 1998 to 2001, Mr. Camp was based in New York where he was the #1 rated research analyst in his sector by both Institutional Investor and Greenwich Research. From 1994 to 1998 he was based in Hong Kong and Tokyo, where he was again rated #1 by Greenwich Research, and consistently in the Top 3 by Institutional Investor. Asia Money rated him as one of the Top 5 analysts in Asia across all sectors. Mr. Camp has worked on over 20 deals in his career and has extensive experience with public company research, Initial Public Offerings, M&A transactions, corporate and government advisory and private company investments.
Mr. Camp graduated from the University of Michigan with distinction with a BA in Economics and Japanese. He is a Chartered Financial Analyst.

Dennis Vacco is a Principal of Upper Hudson Holdings and serves as a Director of the Board of Upper Hudson National Insurance Company. Elected as New York State Attorney General in 1994, he created a first-in-the-nation internet child pornography unit which targeted online child predators. Additionally, he expanded the office’s consumer protection role by creating the Health Care Bureau to assist patients in their dealings with HMOs and other health insurers. Mr. Vacco personally argued and won a landmark case presented before the United States Supreme Court whose ruling denied constitutional protection to the act of physician-assisted suicide. He also served as one of the lead negotiators in the multi-state lawsuits against the tobacco industry, and through his efforts, New York State was awarded the single largest share of the $200 billion settlement awarded to the States.
Prior to being elected as Attorney General, Mr. Vacco served as the United States Attorney for the Western District of New York State under the Presidencies of Ronald Reagan, George H. Bush and William Clinton. While a United States Attorney, Mr. Vacco served as the Chairman of the Advisory Committee to the Attorney General on Environmental Enforcement, and created the first environmental task force in the nation to join state, local and federal resources.
Upon the end of his term as Attorney General in 1998, Mr. Vacco served as the Chief Operating Officer of the New York subsidiary of Waste Management Inc., where he was responsible for over $700 million in revenue, nearly 3,000 employees and over a dozen operating sites across the state. In 2004 Mr. Vacco formed a full service government affairs consulting firm, whose clients included businesses in the insurance, gaming, environmental, healthcare and educational sectors of the economy. Mr. Vacco currently serves as a Partner of Lippes Mathias Wexler Friedman LLP.
Mr. Vacco serves on the Board of Directors of Welch’s, the National Grape Cooperative and American Coradius International, LLC. He earned a Bachelor of Arts Degree in Economics from Colgate University and his Law Degree from the University of Buffalo School of Law.
